ShopFloorWeekly (shopfloorweekly.com) is a publishing website covering manufacturing software and operations. References to "we," "us" or "our" mean ShopFloorWeekly.

What data we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects: pages visited, time on page, referral source, approximate geographic location (country/region level), device type, and browser. We do not use GA4 to identify individuals or to build advertising profiles. IP addresses are anonymised.

Contact enquiries

If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and the content of your message to respond to your enquiry and to log any corrections or updates you report. We do not share this information with third parties.

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or account credentials. We do not have user accounts or sign-ups. The calculators on this site perform all calculations in your browser — no data you enter in a calculator is transmitted to our servers.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics). If you are visiting from the EU/EEA/UK, a consent banner will appear and analytics cookies will only be set if you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Third-party services

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA). Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not embed social media plugins, advertising networks or other third-party trackers.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, then automatically deleted. Email enquiry records are retained for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us. For analytics data held by Google, you can use Google's data deletion tools or opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our data practices change and note the revision date at the top. For significant changes, we will note them in our editorial updates.
